My work deals with the effects of weather and clime on painting. Through sensitive materials exposed under every sort of climatic conditions I generate paintings as images recording and portraying the differences between media, space and time.
I consider time a vital element for transformation. These works can be of any type; impermeable or they may end up destroyed by the sunlight or the pouring rain
(for example, something made of a very fragile paper changes its color when exposed to sunlight). Anyway, I think that everything is, at some point, a dialogue between different circumstances which occur to the work, emphasizing over the control of how and where I want the weather to affect my work, or where I do not want it to be affected.
기후 기록의 과정
내 작업은 날씨와 기후가 회화에 미치는 영향을 다룬다. 매우 민감한 재료를 다양한 종류의 기후 조건에 노출시켜서 나는 미디어와 공간 그리고 시간 사이의 차이점들을 기록하고 묘사하는 이미지로서의 회화 작업을 제작한다.
나는 시간을 변형을 위한 굉장히 중요한 요소라고 생각한다. 어떤 종류의 것도 작업이 될 수 있다. 즉, 이 회화 작업은 불침투성을 지닌 것이 될 수도 있고, 햇빛이나 억수같이 퍼붓는 비에 의해 파괴되어 사라질 수도 있다. 예를 들어 매우 민감한 종이로 제작된 것은 햇빛에 노출되었을 때 그 색이 변화된다. 어쨌든 나는 이 모든 것이 내가 어떻게 그리고 어디서 기후가 내 작업에 영향을 미치기를 원하는가 혹은 원하지 않는가에 대한 통제의 범위를 벗어나 작업을 생성시키는데 관여하는 서로 다른 다양한 환경들 간의 대화라고 생각한다.
