Mobile furniture/ Mobile sculpture

Taking a walk along the river, I noticed that in Korea the areas under bridges were widely used as a playground and resting place. Surprisingly and contrary to the European custom, the river banks were given over to wild vegetation. What I want to do here is to place islands of shade and rest in these areas and to find other functions in these places. My proposal is to make mobile islands of different sizes and different shapes. These wheeled sculptures offer shade for pedestrians, not under a tree or under a bridge but under a parasol placed there like a bait, then they can find ways to place themselves on the sculpture.

Two things are important for me in this project. The first is to treat public space as a living playground in motion, and to participate there in this continuity. In fact, these shaded mobile sculptures allow modularity in the space and I am very curious to see what use they will be put to. The second is to be able to consider sculpture and installation in public space as a real laboratory that reveals an environment and a situation. Here, the sculpture is the vector of the experiment. The horizontal position is very common in Korea with the use of "Pyeong Sang." The possibility of using other types of body positions or hammock chairs is not so common. This proposal asks questions about the position and posture of the body in a world where speed and efficiency reign, a world where the body is pushed to the extreme.
